Q:So I wonder how you suggest removing the snap on the original strap. Not covered in the video and if done incorrectly you are looking for a new helmet. I love the product but you only get one chance to remove the snap.
Thanks, Al

A: You may use needle nose pliers, they seem to work the best, just squeeze it a bit and it should pop off.

Q:I bought a quick release and was wondering the easiest way to remove the snap from the helmets strap?
Asked by: Dave
- 1/31/2023
A: The best way is to use a flat head screwdriver to pry it open, it should snap off or plyers to apply pressure on each side of the snap and pull it off, the snap button is made of two parts.

Q:Do I absolutely have to remove the existing plastic snap button from the long strap to install your helmet clip? Why, which part will the strap not pass through?
Asked by: Lewis
- 7/17/2023
A: To pass the helmet strap thru the metal part you must remove the button, the button can be separated with a flat screwdriver, it consists of two parts that are snapped together on each side of the strap.
Thank you and let us know if you have any other questions we can help you with.
Have a nice day. Paul

Q:I purchased this clip for my 11 year olds closed face helmet that he wears. First, your installation video was spot on. My issue is when I install this, even with every inch of slack possibly taken out of the strap, it still extends it too much for it to even come close to securing the helmet on my son. Prior to installation the strap was almost pulled completely tight and after the installation there was way too much slack that couldn't be compensated for to tighten the helmet. Do you have another product that might work in this situation? Or any recommendations? I snapped the button off so now the strap will just flap when he wears it. Please help!

A: Thank you for purchasing our helmet quick-release buckle. Unfortunately, there is no other option, it does not work for children or adults with small heads, and there is no modification recommended or any other product made to shorten the strap.
Thank you, Paul

Thank you for reaching out to us. I tried it on one here and it works. You can also go to helmetclip.com and watch the installation video but you don't have to remove the strap snap on this new clip you got.
Thank you, Paul

Q:Hello, I'm finding that there is not enough room to clamp the strap into the D-ring. So the only way it fits is to not "thread it through", but just wrap it around the D-ring and snap without the compression. Thoughts on this?
Asked by: Tony Lopes

A: Please DO NOT just loop the quick-release strap on the Drings, that is not safe at all!
Please watch the provided video.

Q:Hi i recently received my order for my helmet quick release clip. I love the clip, it seems like a fantastic product. When I installed it on my helmet (Sedici Strada 2) the strap became too long. With the helmet clip on I have been unable to find a strap configuration that is short enough to adequately keep the strap below my chin. Are there any installation tips that might solve this problem? I'd love to keep and use the clip but unless I can somehow shorten the strap it doesn't seem like it will work for my application. Thanks in advance!

A: Hello,
Thank you for your quick-release purchase, make sure the strap is pulled to the back end of it, some helmets allow you to keep shortening the strap past the cheek pad. There is no other way to shorten it further.
Thank you, Paul.

A: We are in the process of creating a new installation video, which will be released soon. In the meantime, you can scan the QR code on the product packaging for guidance. Here's a link to our previous video, but please note: if your helmet has a strap button, there's no need to remove it.
