Q: my hawk novelty helmet....is it illegal to wear while riding.?

A: Novelty helmets are not approved by the department of transportation, they are not safe and will not protect you in case of an accident, they are only for the looks, if your state requires a D.O.T approved helmet a novelty helmet does not comply with state laws.

Q: You list sizes beginning with small and then x-small, medium, etc. While I assume that's correct, it almost implies that small is smaller than x-small.

A: Hello,

This novelty helmet does not look like that, they are thin and low profile since they are not DOT and only a novelty helmet.
