Description |
The RPHA-Max modular helmet is part of the Revolutionary Performance Helmet Advantage line, a combination of HJC research and design and the professional input of stars like Ben Spies and Jorge Lorenzo. One touch chin bar opening system makes operating the modular portion extremely simple, and the internal sun shield can be operated with one hand as well. Removable and washable Cool4Ever liner wicks away moisture easily, and grooves cut into the fabric make wearing eyeglasses in the helmet even easier. And at only 3.5 pounds made of carbon fiber and other fibrous materials, this DOT helmet is one of the best dollar for dollar values on a modular helmet today. |

Ordered the RPHA just before Memorial Day. Received it the following week. I measured my head according to the guide and I kinda fit right at the L, XL size break. I read where these run a bit small so I ordered the XL. Glad I did! I have a Vegas modular in large that is a bit loose. (with a do rag it fits nice) The RPHA in XL is pretty snug front to back. It is pretty quiet with the ear cushions sealing well. The first chance I go to ride with it I went on our annual week long guy trip out to the hill country of Texas. It did well but as with all full face it got hot. The top vent works pretty good. You can actually feel the air hitting your head. The chin vent, I couldn't tell so much. Being behind a windshield makes a difference. The face sheild seals pretty snug and the sun visor works well. I did not attach the extra shield so I can't comment on it (actually didn't know it was included til after we got back and I was putting the box away and found it.) In general I would have to say I am well pleased. It would be nice if the padding was removable for cleaning and I do think I am going to have to sculpt out just a little bit of the front hard poly to better fit my forehead. Good job HJC. |
